Exactly one year ago, we were accepted as participants in the EIC Accelerator – one of the most demanding funding programs for deep-tech startups in Europe.

Now, halfway through our 24-month funding period, it’s time for an honest assessment: What have we achieved, what does the program demand of us – and why are we convinced it was exactly the right step for MetisMotion?

At this year’s automatica in Munich, MetisMotion asked a question that stopped visitors in their tracks:

“What if an actuator could be the AI’s hand in the real world?”

The answer might just change how we think about robotics forever.

At automatica 2025, MetisMotion’s three-finger gripper drew a crowd.

At first glance, it looked like a precision tool for delicate handling.

Look closer, and it revealed something much bigger: a completely new approach to multi-actuator design.

This year we had the great opportunity to participate for the second time in the world’s leading trade fair for automation technology, the automatica in Munich. Our primary goal was to present the remarkable functional and design flexibility of our pioneering drive technology naXture to a broad public.

We got this far together! Milestone after milestone, from our foundation in 2018 to the launch of our naXture Guide actuator family last year.
We felt the need to say Thank You!

Finally the time has come!
At this year’s automatica, we were able to introduce ourselves and share our unique actuator solution with countless interested people.

The highlight: naXture Guide – the world’s first actuator with the sixth sense!

Less than a year after the launch of our technology platform naXture and the first product family naXture Go, we are now ready to open the next chapter in drive technology – with naXture Guide!

The new variant of our electro-hydraulic converter (EHC) has been optimised for greater flow, so that up to 40% higher extension speeds can now be achieved.

Funded by the Bavarian Technology Promotion Programme plus (BayTP+), the “PIA” project aims to make polymer actuators usable for greater force and displacement requirements, thus making them a valid technical option.
